Place Royale (Plaça Reial)

La Plaça Reial est considérée comme la place la plus vivante de Barcelone. Elle a été aménagée entre 1848 et 1859.

Vous serez forcément séduit par les palmiers et les deux jolis réverbères, créés par Gaudí qui décorent la Plaça Reial. En son centre, trône la fontaine des Trois Grâces.

Les monuments qui l'entourent sont ornés d'arcades accueillant cafés et restaurants. Vous pouvez y déguster une bière bien fraîche ou si vous avez faim, des patatas bravas (pommes de terres au piment) accompagnées de calamares (encornets).

Le mélange des populations est aussi caractéristique de la Plaça Reial. On y croise des artistes, des étudiants, des touristes... Cet aspect cosmopolite lui donne un charme indéniable. C'est un lieux où de nombreux catalans se retrouvent pour boire un verre avant d'aller plus avant dans la nuit. Visitez le dimanche pour y voir le fameux marché aux pièces et aux timbres.
