L'architecture de Barcelone

Barcelone est une ville époustouflante au niveau architectural. Quand vous découvrez La Sagrada Familia de Antoni Gaudí ou encore ses sculptures sur le toit de La Pedrera, vous serez stupéfait par l'originalité et l'incroyable qualité de l'architecture à Barcelone.


L'architecture à Barcelone est à elle seule une grande attraction touristique. Il vous suffit de vous balader dans les rues de la ville et plus particulièrement dans le quartier Gothique et celui de l'Eixample pour découvrir de véritables trésors architecturaux.

De l'époque romaine à la période gothique en passant par l'Art Nouveau Catalan appelé "modernismo", l'architecture de Barcelone est le reflet de la riche histoire de la ville. Elle témoigne des périodes de prospérité et de déclin et de défense de l'identité catalane. Les divers monuments accueillent de nombreuses expositions, des forums culturels et ont permis de voir les Jeux Olympiques se dérouler à Barcelone.
Les deux mouvements architecturaux les plus importants de Barcelone sont l'Art Gothique Catalan et le Modernisme mené par Antoni Gaudí.

Outre le Moyen Age et la "Renaixença" (Renaissance) du début du 20ème siècle, il est bon de mentionner également les anciennes ruines de la ville.
